South Argyle

Diamond Lease

Western Australia

E80/5892 (Covering around 100km) See map showing our lease on the front cover.

The Argyle Diamond Mine operated from 1985 until 2020 and produced over 850 million carats of diamonds until its closure in 2020. Argyle was the world’s largest producer of pink, champagne and cognac diamonds. The Argyle AK1 pipe was the worlds largest source of natural diamonds.

Diamonds on our South Argyle lease come from weathering of the Argyle Diamond mine volcanic pipe.

Previous exploration has involved 132 small exploration test pits. Diamonds (mostly from our lease area E80/5892) were recovered from 25 of 27 bulk samples.  See picture right-hand bottom corner, on front cover of this brochure.

Bulk sampling was a great success. We plan to mine now ASAP, subject to feasibility studies.  Recent astronomical price   rises for coloured diamond varieties have greatly improved potential economics.
